Pond Fountain Nozzle Kit UK | 3 Spray Heads | Telescopic Riser and Flow Valve | Fits Most Pumps
A pond fountain nozzle kit turns a submersible pond pump into a decorative water feature. This kit gives you three interchangeable fountain heads, a telescopic riser to set the height, and a T-piece with built-in flow-control valves so you can run the fountain and a small waterfall from the same pump. It fits most pumps with a 1/2", 3/4" or 1" male threaded outlet. Easy to swap heads without tools. Instantly upgrades your garden pond.
Turn Your Pond Pump Into a Water Feature
If your pond pump is simply circulating water through a filter with nothing to show at the surface, a fountain nozzle kit is the simplest and most cost-effective upgrade you can make. Screw the kit onto the pump outlet, extend the riser and choose your display - no plumbing, no extra pump.
Why It Works
Three displays from one kit
The kit includes three interchangeable heads: a bottle-shaped foaming jet that throws up a white, aerated column, a domed head and a flat disc head for lower, wider water patterns. A tall, frothy jet makes a statement in an open pond, while the lower heads keep water inside a small or sheltered pond on a breezy day.
Height you can set to your pond
The telescopic riser lifts the head clear of the surface whatever depth your pump sits at, and the swivel joint corrects the angle if the pump rests on an uneven shelf.
One pump, two features
The T-piece has integrated flow-control valves and a secondary outlet. Turn flow towards the fountain for a taller display, or divert part of it through the stepped hose tail to feed a small waterfall, spout or filter. That balance is what makes the kit useful rather than just decorative.
Where It's Used
Koi, goldfish and wildlife ponds where you want visible movement at the surface; formal raised ponds on a patio; and water features where an existing pump has lost its original fountain head. Surface movement also helps oxygen exchange on warm summer evenings.

Choosing the Right Head
There is one kit, so the choice is which head you run. The foaming jet gives the most height and surface disturbance, so it suits open ponds and koi ponds. The domed and flat disc heads produce lower, broader patterns that stay inside the pond in wind and suit smaller or wildlife ponds. Display size depends on your pump: the published figures run from about 55cm wide on a small pump to around a metre high and wide on a larger one. If the display looks weak, close the secondary outlet valve first before blaming the pump.
Installation, Use & Care
Position the pump centrally in the pond and extend the riser so the head sits a few centimetres above the water surface. In windy conditions, a lower domed or disc head keeps the spray within the pond. During very warm summer days, a lively foaming jet helps refresh the water surface - beneficial for fish health when temperatures rise. Unscrew the heads every few weeks and rinse out grit or algae, and clean the pump's intake at the same time so flow stays strong.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Will this kit fit my existing pond pump?
- It fits most pond pumps with a male 1/2", 3/4" or 1" threaded outlet, which covers the outlets used on most UK garden pond pumps. Check your pump's outlet thread before ordering if you are unsure.
- Which head is best for a koi pond?
- Koi keepers usually favour the foaming jet for its strong surface agitation and aeration. In a smaller pond or a windy spot, the domed head gives a calmer display that keeps water in the pond.
- Can I leave the fountain running overnight?
- Yes - and we encourage it. Running the pump and fountain 24/7 maintains continuous oxygenation, particularly important on warm summer nights when dissolved oxygen levels naturally fall.
- The fountain seems weak - how do I improve it?
- Close or reduce the T-piece's secondary outlet so all the flow goes to the fountain, then check the pump intake and impeller are clean. Low fountain height is otherwise usually down to insufficient pump flow for the head you have chosen.
